The beta version of @Web browser for S60 5th Edition (N97, 5800 and Nokia 5530) from Digia has been released. This web browser for mobile is said ‘fully finger controllable’ that features multi window support, direct page control using finger, automatic browsing in full screen as well as URL auto completion.
This mobile web browser has concept of overlaid controls including window control and address bar on the top, zoom bar at the right and toolbar for bottom. After a period of time, they will be hidden. If you tap its downward arrow, they can be arisen back. Quick menu can be got using longer hold on screen. This concept is aimed to get the optimal space for web rendering in optimal time and at same time reducing scroll control on a page.
The URL auto completion lets you get fast browsing based on the previous page you have accessed. Its multiple window feature lets you make new tab anytime and the tab’s thumbnail can be seen below address bar.
This browser uses same engine with the built in S60 browser but it uses its own control layer and UI. The kinetic scrolling is only available in N97. It is also capable for Flash content and the quick rendering.
However, some minuses on it: some colour misconfiguration on several softkey button and scroll bar doesn’t work on N97.
